Jarred Morehead is a pianist and teacher in New York City. His festival performances include the Beethoven Institute as a Dai-Sung Kim full scholarship recipient (NYC), International Academy of Music (Italy), Burgos International Music Festival (Spain) and Cerdanya Music Festival (Spain). He was a semifinalist in The American Prize Competition in 2016. In 2015 he won First Prize at the Cerdanya Music Festival Competition, and in 2013 he won the Distinction Award at the Metropolitan International Piano Competition and played in the winner's concert at Carnegie Hall.

In addition to being a faculty member at the New York Music School, Jarred maintains his own private studio, where students play in three concerts per year.  He is also a teaching assistant to Ms. Yuri Kim.

 

He has degrees from The University of South Carolina at Columbia (BM), The University of Texas at Austin (MM) and Mannes College The New School for Music (PSD).
